ANN/THE STRAITS TIMES – A video has gone viral on social media allegedly showing dashcam footage of excavation work being carried out within a fenced gas pipeline area days before the tragedy in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya on April 1, reported Malay-language daily Sinar Harian.
The Malay language daily reported that the one-minute, 41-second video, believed to be taken on March 28 and 30, was uploaded by TikTok user @miiraahz, depicting an excavator not far from the site of excavation work by the roadside.
The clip then shows the appearance of an excavator on the afternoon of March 30, within the excavation area.
Observations indicate that the area of land being excavated expanded over those two days, with no maintenance signage installed.
