The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Co-Curriculum Education held the final match for a futsal tournament in conjunction with the 32nd Teacher’s Day celebration held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) multi-purpose hall yesterday.
UBD Vice-Chancellor cum guest of honour Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle awarded prizes to the winners.
The tournament was one of the sports activities to enliven the Teacher’s Day celebration, themed ‘Quality Teachers Driving Educational Transformation’.
Sixteen teams split into four groups comprising personnel from the MoE and Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The tournament aimed to foster closer ties and instill a culture of goodwill and friendship among officers, teachers and staff at both ministries. It also served as a platform to identify talented and potential players for futsal competitions.
