(ANN/KOREA HERALD) — K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty secured a spot on Billboard’s 2023 year-end Hot 100 songs chart, marking the first time for any K-pop girl group.
Their hit single, “Cupid,” claimed the No. 44 position, while also ranking in multiple categories such as Top Duo/Group at No. 6 and Global 200 at No. 20.
“Cupid” debuted at an impressive No. 17 on the weekly Hot 100 chart and maintained a record-setting 25 consecutive weeks, establishing Fifty Fifty as the fastest K-pop band to debut on the chart.
Despite not winning at the Billboard Music Awards, the group expressed gratitude for the support received.
Fifty Fifty, which started as a four-piece in November 2022 but now comprises only Keena, looks ahead with optimism.
Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong-jun expressed gratitude for the year’s success and announced plans to venture further into the global music market next year with Fifty Fifty’s unique sound.
