The Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam donated 14 books to the Korean Corner at the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) library during a handover ceremony at the library yesterday.
Second Secretary and Consul at the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Kim Pyungkuk handed the donation to UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor Au Thien Wan.
The books are expected to enhance the learning experience of UTB students and the public and provide insights into Korean society. The embassy hopes that the books will be beneficial to UTB students and the public, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of South Korea.
The Korean Corner at UTB library continues to be a hub for students, faculty and the public to explore and engage with South Korean culture, furthering educational and cultural collaboration between the two countries.
UTB Library’s plans include providing access to materials and lending services for local citizens and students. The library also plans to organise promotional events in collaboration with the embassy to enhance South Korean cultural promotion and strengthen cooperation between the embassy and the university. – Lyna Mohamad
