Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) held its annual charity drive yesterday as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts during Ramadhan.
Dubbed ‘Ihsan Kasih’, the initiative supported six socio-economically challenged families from Kampong Tanah Jambu, Kampong Lumapas and Kampong Kota Batu.
The drive aimed to ease the financial burden of local families during the fasting month and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Beneficiaries were identified through the Zakat, Waqaf, and Baitulmal Management Department ay the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Chief Operating Officer Fazilah Yassin led a delegation of 10 MPC staff members and middle management in distributing food packages and essential items to the families. – Lyna Mohamad
