Crown Prince visits Sentosa Development Corporation

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office made a working visit to the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), Sentosa Island in Singapore yesterday.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by Singapore Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations.

His Royal Highness proceeded to a briefing session on Eco-Tourism Plan for Sentosa Island by SDC Planning and Data Analytics Director Kelly Yoong. The briefing included the planning of six key areas to achieve Sentosa’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030 as well as sustainability partnerships and climate change adaptation measures.

The effort aims to balance tourism growth with environmental stewardship, while enhancing the island’s appeal and its ecology.

His Royal Highness proceeded to visit the Palawan Beach, Beach Station, Walkthrough RISE Sustainability Showcase and Sensoryscape.

His Royal Highness joined a group photograph session before concluding the visit.

SDC, established in September 1, 1972, is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, responsible for overseeing the development, management, and marketing of Sentosa Island.
