Crown Prince attends under-20 football meet

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office attended the opening day of the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) Youth Under-20 League 2023 yesterday.

Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim played for DPMM FC against IKLS-MB5 FC at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium.

Yang Teramat Mulia helped DPMM FC to open the scoring in the 40th minute as his team got off to a winning start in a 2-1 victory.

Haziq Asnawi drew IKLS-MB5 level in the 68th minute but Adrian Zikry scored the winner late in injury time to secure all three points for the Jerudong-based outfit.

DPMM FC are scheduled to play Panchor Murai FC next at the FABD B Field on June 30.

The under-20 league marks the resumption of competitive youth football this season with the under-15s also kicking off on the same day.
