His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) attended the afternoon session of the 36th UBD Convocation Ceremony on Monday.
His Royal Highness was greeted by Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh and UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle.
The session began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, followed by the procession of the Pro-Chancellor into the Chancellor Hall led by the mace-bearer holding aloft the Mushaf Al-Quran.
Following the singing of the national anthem, His Royal Highness delivered a sabda.
His Royal Highness presented certificates to 302 Master’s graduates and 34 graduate diploma recipients.
One of the recipients in the afternoon session was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hajah Ameenah Bushral Bulqiah binti Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz, who graduated with a Master of Government.
