COVID-19 statistics remain stable in past week

The COVID-19 statistics have remained stable in the past seven days compared to the previous week. The daily average in the past week was 210 cases per day compared to 215 per day the previous week.

Of the 37,733 antigen rapid test (ART) results uploaded to BruHealth in a week, 3.2 per cent are positive.

These details were disclosed by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in a press conference yesterday.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin was also present.

The minister said 269 new cases were reported yesterday where 268 were from ART results and one from 81 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours.

There are no cases in Category 5 receiving treatment in the intensive care unit and no cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and under close monitoring.

Meanwhile, 78.4 per cent of Brunei’s population have received at least three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 10.4 per cent have been administered the fourth shot, he said.
