COVID-19 cases up last week

Brunei Darussalam saw an increase in COVID-19 cases last week where the average daily infection rate of cases went up to 201 per day compared to 168, the previous week.

The Ministry of Health revealed this in its weekly report.

Some 18,878 antigen rapid test (ART) results were uploaded to the BruHealth app where 7.4 per cent were positive.

Yesterday saw 202 new cases, all detected through ART.

There are no cases in Category 5 while there are two patients in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and under close supervision.

As of March 26, 79.1 per cent of residents of this country have received at least three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 12.1 per cent were administered the fourth shot.
