Some 30 teachers participated in the ‘Training of Trainers (TOT) Design Tinker’ course at the Brunei Darussalam Leadership Teacher Academy (BDLTA) recently.
The four-day course was organised by the Ministry of Education and BDLTA in collaboration with Seria Energy Lab (SEL) and Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd. The course aims to support the implementation of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education in schools.
The participants are equipped with critical thinking and creative skills through the Design Tinker process, applied to STEAM education.
The course was delivered by facilitators from the SEL Head Dr Nur Karnina binti Karim, SEL Head of Exhibitions and Education Allen Jaffran Angi and Senior Science Communicator Amal Nazirah binti Mohd Daud. – James Kon
