Cooking class fosters Brunei-Korea cultural ties

Some 26 individuals yesterday learnt how to cook kimchi fried rice and chadol doenjang jjigae (beef brisket soyabean paste soup) at a cooking class organised by the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate and Korea.

The cooking class, at the embassy, was facilitated by the embassy’s chef Lee Minhyuk. Ambassador-Designate of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Sun Nahm Kook, in his welcoming remarks, hoped that the cooking class can strengthen cultural connections between the two nations.

The ambassador-designate and his spouse as well as the chef also had the opportunity to mingle with the participants during the cooking class. – James Kon
