Connectivity initiative empowers online learning

Progresif Sdn Bhd announced its collaboration with Brunei Engineering, Logistics and Training Solutions (BELTS) marking a milestone in advancing digital connectivity for education in Brunei during a handover ceremony on Thursday.

The collaboration is part of the Progresif Donate Data campaign (Phase 2), an initiative pioneered by Progresif to empower youth with digital literacy through improved connectivity and ensuring inclusivity for all types of learning and education.

BELTS, in partnership with Progresif, will power Wi-Fi connectivity for two years, benefiting Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) in Kampong Kiarong.

“We are delighted to welcome BELTS as a key contributor to this campaign. Their sponsorship of YASKA exemplifies the positive impact that corporate entities can have on education with connectivity in our community,” said Progresif Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hajah Nurul Haniah Haji Jaafar.

“By enhancing digital connectivity at YASKA, we are empowering students with the tools that they need to thrive in today’s digital world. This partnership underscores our commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all learners will have equal access to quality education,” said BELTS CEO Muhammad Noh bin Haji Madali.

“Every year, a number of children and their families face the harsh reality of a cancer diagnosis. The emotional toll on these families is immeasurable. All your support towards childhood cancer has become a beacon of hope for these children, offering them a chance at a brighter future and help raise awareness about childhood cancer,” shared Paediatric Oncology Consultant at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital and YASKA Advisor Dr Hajah Norehan binti Haji Johari.

Also present at the handover ceremony was YASKA President Tsara’Nawwarah Abdullah Chen.
