On the happy occasion of the 39th National Day of Brunei Darussalam, it is my honour to extend, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman and the people of Oman, the warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, members of the royal family and to the Bruneian Government and people.
Under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam has become one of the most developed and peaceful countries in the world, and continues to stride ahead in different sectors.
In the international arena, Brunei today holds a unique position as a peace-loving and developed country.
We, are therefore confident that Brunei Darussalam will achieve even greater levels of success on all fronts, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
On a related note, as we celebrate the 39th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Oman and Brunei Darussalam, we are happy to observe that bilateral relations between the two Sultanates continue to gain momentum and diversity and we are confident that our cooperation will be more fruitful and the friendship between our peoples will be stronger.
Once again, I would like to wish all the best to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, members of the royal family and the friendly people of Brunei on this occasion.
May His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam enjoy perfect health, and happiness. At the same time, we raise our hands in Doa to Allah the Almighty to bless this beautiful country and its faithful people with peace and harmony.

Under the leadership of His Majesty, Brunei features political stability, economic development, social harmony and the people live and work in peace, prosperity and contentment. Brunei is committed to promotion of ASEAN community building, and the development of China-ASEAN relations, and plays a constructive role in international and regional affairs.
China and Brunei enjoy a time-honoured friendship, with bilateral relations developing continuously, and practical cooperation expanding in various fields. In 2022, His Majesty and President of China Xi Jinping had a successful meeting during the APEC Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, and drew a blueprint for further development of bilateral relations.
With the high-quality development of jointly building the Belt and Road, China and Brunei witnessed bilateral trade exceeding USD3 billion for the first time, bringing tangible benefits to our two countries and peoples. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Brunei, and 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi, which will usher in new opportunities and driving force to our bilateral relations. I believe that under the strategic guidance of the heads of state from both countries, and with the joint efforts of our two sides, China and Brunei relations will enjoy an even better future and bilateral cooperation will be blessed with even broader prospects.
May His Majesty enjoy good health. May Brunei Darussalam enjoy prosperity and its people happiness and well-being.
