Conference highlights role in ASEAN teacher education network

Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani and KUPU SB Director of the Centre for Training and Competency Development Dr Kharhan bin Haji Jait attended the 18th Meeting of Heads of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) and the 6th AsTEN Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The event, from December 12 to 14 was hosted by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam.

AsTEN is a network of teacher education institutions in ASEAN, focused on addressing challenges in teacher education programmes, practices and policies.

The university is set to host the 19th Meeting of Heads of AsTEN and the 7th AsTEN Conference next year. – James Kon
