A local company was fined BND5,000 by the Magistrate’s Court yesterday after its director pleaded guilty to failing to file particulars of its income tax returns.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Pengiran Hajah Nor ‘Azmeena binti Pengiran Haji Mohiddin revealed that the company had failed to submit its income tax returns to the Income Tax Collector for the business years ending on December 31, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid presided over the case while the defendant company was represented by lawyer Md Shazale Mat Salleh of his own firm.
