A company was slapped with a BND500 fine by the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) yesterday in violation of Regulation 12, Building Control (Advertisement, Billboard and Signboard) Regulations, 2016, for putting up advertisement displays without permission.
According to ABCi, the company was fined for illegally putting up advertisements at a unit at a shopping complex in Kampong Jaya Setia and was given 14 days to settle the fine.
ABCi reminded the public to ensure that an appointed advertising company must have a valid registration and should obtain permission for any signs or billboards displayed outside business premises in accordance with the regulations.
