The Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board issued a BND1,000 fine to a company in the Belait District for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act (Amendment) 2021.
The company at Kampong Pandan 4 was found spilling construction materials – stone and sand – into public drainage resulting in blockages.
The company has seven days to settle the fine or face court. Companies found guilty will be fined between BND2,000 and BND10,000 for the first offence; between BND10,000 and BND30,000, imprisonment of no more than 12 months, or both, for subsequent offences. – Daniel Lim
