A concrete-making company was fined on Tuesday by the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) for disposing liquid into the river near Kampong Mulaut Industrial Area.
The company was given seven days to settle the fine. Failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court. If found guilty, the company will be fined between BND2,000 and BND10,000 for the first offence; between BND10,000 and BND30,000 or imprisonment of no more than 12 months or both for subsequent offences. – Daniel Lim
