The Enforcement Unit of the Tutong District Office issued a BND1,000 compound fine on a company in Kampong Bukit Beruang for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021.
The company was given seven days to settle the fine, failing which the case will be brought to court. If found guilty, the company may face a fine between BND2,000 and BND10,000.
For the second or subsequent offences, penalties include a fine between BND10,000 and BND30,000, imprisonment of up to 12 months, or both.
The agency reminded the public, particularly building owners and businesses, to maintain cleanliness of their surroundings. – James Kon
