A company was fined BND500 on Monday by the Enforcement Unit of the Tutong District Office for leaving rubbish in public areas.
The company violated Section 12(1)(c), Chapter 30 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act (Amendment) 2021.
The offender is given seven days to settle the fine.
The failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court.
If found guilty, they will face a fine between BND2,000 and BND10,000 for the first offence, and between BND10,000 and BND30,000, imprisonment of no more than 12 months, or both, for subsequent offences. – James Kon
