A sponsorship signing ceremony for the finals of a Tausyeh competition was recently held at the main building of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) Broadcasting Complex in Kampong Sungai Akar.
Acting Director Pengiran Haji Ismail bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad Kifli signed on behalf of RTB, while the sponsoring companies – Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB), Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd – had their representatives present for the signing.
The competition, initiated in 2001, reflects RTB’s commitment to showcasing the beauty of Islamic art through songs conveying elements of preaching, the community’s well-being, patriotism and the greatness of Islam, set to the rhythms of Tausyeh.
The competition will feature four male and four female teams, scheduled for November 5 at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
The finals will be broadcast live on RTB Aneka, RTBGo and radio channel Nur Islam FM. – James Kon
