The Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board issued compound fines totalling BND2,700 on two companies and two individuals on June 15 for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021.
One company on Jalan Pretty was issued a BND1,000 compound fine for allowing the grease trap to overflow with dirty water which seeped into a public drainage.
Meanwhile, another company at Jalan Bunga Raya, Kuala Belait was issued a BND1,000 compound fine for disposing trash in black plastic bags at public premises behind its store.
Meanwhile, two individuals were caught littering public premises and were issued BND200 and BND500 fines respectively.
They had been ordered to settle the fines within seven days.
The failure to pay the fine on time would result in the offenders being brought to court.
