The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) conducted the Life Saver 995 workshop at Mukim Saba prayer hall on Tuesday.
Two officers from the FRD’s Public Relations Division, Operations Branch ‘D,’ facilitated the session, which focused on fire safety measures through both theoretical and practical approaches. The workshop, organised by the Mukim Saba prayer Hall takmir committee and the Mukim Saba Village Consultative Council, marked its first-ever session at the venue. Some 33 participants, including four women, attended the event.
The attendees comprised takmir committee members and local residents.
The officers delivered theoretical explanations on fire safety and demonstrated the use of ABC Dry Powder and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers.
Following the briefing, practical demonstrations were held outdoors. The tools used included a hose and nozzle connected to a nearby fire hydrant, with fire extinguishers.
The workshop aimed to enhance the community’s preparedness and knowledge in handling fire emergencies effectively. – Fadley Faisal
