Mukim Belait community leaders completed a two-day Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) programme with a closing ceremony yesterday.
National Disaster Management Centre Director Colonel (Rtd) Muhd Harrith Rashidi bin Haji Muhd Jamin was the guest of honour and handed over certificates to the participating community leaders comprising the penghulu, village head and members of the mukim and village consultative council across Mukim Belait.
The programme aimed at disseminating knowledge among community leaders to enhance their disaster preparedness and resilience to aid the relevant authorities as well as government agencies and departments. – Daniel Lim
