SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – The director’s cut for Seventeen’s Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s music video for “Last Night (Guitar by Park Ju-won)” was released this past weekend.
The track headlines their debut single, “This Man,” which officially dropped on June 17.
The extended director’s cut features a captivating two-minute-and-45-second black-and-white comic strip. Opening with the line, “This is the story of a man who transforms into a nightmare and another man who fears being forgotten,” the narrative draws from a global urban legend where individuals encounter a mysterious figure in their dreams.
The album’s storyline was penned by Cho Ye-eun, a celebrated thriller and horror novelist acclaimed for works such as “Overlapped Knife, Knife” and the novel “Shift.” Her storytelling prowess enriches the thematic depth of “This Man.”
Upon release, Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s debut single swiftly claimed the top spot on Oricon’s daily single ranking for June 20.
Additionally, “Last Night (Guitar by Park Ju-won)” made a notable impact by securing the No 3 position on iTunes’ Worldwide Song chart immediately after its debut.
