The Pantaran Ilmu 1, organised by Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (MDPMAMB) on Saturday, aimed to cascade knowledge gathered from the Teacher’s Day Webinar 2021 to the college tutors.
Organised by the college’s Teacher Professional Development (TPD) Division, the event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.
Dr Hajah Ewana binti Dr Haji Mohamad Yusof, Dr Hajah Rodziah binti Haji Abdul Wahab and Armacester binti Haji Arsad made presentations.
Parallel sessions were conducted from 2.45pm to 3.15pm via Microsoft Teams online with speakers sharing their topic for 30 minutes.
Dr Hajah Ewana presented on ‘The Study of Emotional Competency and Well-being of Politeknik Brunei Academic Staff’, Dr Hajah Rodziah on ‘What and How Students Learn from an Accounting lesson: Evidence from Teacher Observation and Students’ Interviews’ and Armacester on ‘Adaptasi Profesionalisme Keguruan Menurut Ibnu Jama’ah bagi Pendidikan
Abad Ke-21’.
The event concluded with a discussion between presenters and participants on how the information gained could be applied in teaching and learning in the college, and how it relates to teaching and learning at the college.
