Closing prices for commodities

NEW YORK (AP) – Benchmark US crude oil for June delivery rose 72 cents to USD79.95 per barrel Friday. Brent crude for July delivery rose 71 cents to USD83.98 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline for June delivery rose 3 cents to USD2.57 a gallon. June heating oil rose 4 cents to USD2.49 a gallon. June natural gas rose 11.3 cents to USD2.61 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Gold for June delivery rose USD31.90 to USD2,417.40 per ounce. Silver for July delivery rose USD1.38 to USD31.26 per ounce, and July copper rose 17 cents to USD5.05 per pound.

The dollar rose to JPY155.69 from JPY155.34. The euro rose to USD1.0875 from USD1.0871.
