Delegates of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) hosted the closing ceremony for Dikir Maulud at Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampong Tamoi yesterday.
The ceremony, organised by the MPRT in collaboration with the mosque takmir committee, commenced with mosque affairs officer Faizal bin Janif leading a mass Maghrib prayer followed by Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin leading the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.
The dikir group from MPRT performed Dikir Syarafil Anam, followed by a mass Isyak prayer led by the mosque’s imam.
It concluded with the recitation of Dikir Marhaban, Doa Dikir and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony aimed to glorify Maulidur Rasul celebration and strengthen ties between the mosque takmir committee members, congregants and residents from surrounding areas and MPRT staff. – Lyna Mohamad
