On Saturday, STJ PGGMB Lambak School organised an awareness event focused on cleanliness and littering, highlighting the role of school education in addressing environmental issues.
The event, held in collaboration with the Enforcement Division of the Brunei-Muara District Office, was part of a roadshow under the Miscellaneous Offences Act for Littering in Public Areas. Its goal was to educate students about the impact of litter and waste and to emphasise the importance of maintaining cleanliness.
Over a hundred students and teachers from the school participated, demonstrating a collective commitment to environmental responsibility and tackling littering issues. The Headmaster of the school, Cikgu Hj Roslan bin Md Hassan, welcomed the officials and team to the event.
The roadshow featured a talk by Dayangku Noradinawati binti Pengiran Sulaiman, Head of the Enforcement Unit, and Awang Sizali bin Md Yassin, Assistant Head. The students were encouraged to heed the advice shared, with a focus on environmental care and school cleanliness. They also took part in a question-and-answer session about littering issues and received prizes for correct answers. – LYNA MOHAMMAD
