A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was organised to mark the birthday of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam by the Woman’s Bureau of Kampong Sengkurong ‘A’ yesterday.
The religious gathering was held at the residence of Head of the Bureau Datin Hajah Rosnah binti Sulaiman and began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Women’s Bureau Adviser Pehin Manteri Bini Datin Paduka Hajah Aminah binti Haji Mohammad Yassin.
Among the highlights were the reading of Surah-Surah Lazim, Takhtim, Doa Khatam, Dikir Marhaban and concluded with Doa Selamat.
Meanwhile, a similar religious ceremony was also organised on Sunday by the Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW). The Khatam Al-Quran was participated by PSW Mari Membaca Al-Quran (MMQ). Leading up to the event, a tedarus ceremony took place for 30 days starting September 2, with participants reading one verse each day.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the collective recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah Al-Masad, and concluded with Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban. Hajah Hasni binti Zaini read the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, marking the end of the event.
