Public Service Department launches guide book and code of ethics

The Public Service Department through The Counselling Services Division of the Public Service Department on Wednesday launched the Counselling Service Guide Book and Counselling Code of Ethics.

Guest of honour Permanent Secretary (Governance, Public Service) at the Prime Minister’s Office Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin presented the publications to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin and to the Directors of Administration of other Ministries.

The Acting Director-General of Public Service Department Dr Norfarizal bin Othman said the Counselling Service Handbook acts as a reference source for ministries, departments as well as civil servants regarding counselling services in the public service, while Counselling Code of Ethics is intended to guarantee welfare and the well-being of Counsellor Officers and clients to further improve quality of counselling services provided in the Public Service in addition to outlining the rights and obligations of Counsellor Officers and clients.
