A total of 121 officers and staff from The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) as well as departments under it received Pingat Kerja Lama (PKL) or long service medals in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birthday celebration.
Beside officers and staff from the MoFE as well as departments under it, the recipients also included officers and staff from the Office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah attended the event at the Theatre hall of MoFE yesterday.
Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, acting permanent secretaries as well as managing director of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank and head of departments from the ministry.
The ceremony served as an appreciation to officers and staff who have contributed over than 20 years of service. – James Kon
