The Magistrate’s Court on Thursday ordered a 22-year-old permanent resident to settle a BND16,650 fine for possession of smuggled cigarettes.
Acting Senior Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered Shafwan Hafizul bin Abdullah Hindri to serve 16 months’ jail in default of payment after he pleaded guilty to possessing 18 cartons and 29 packets of cigarettes.
