    Chinese schools receive calligraphy sets

China’s growing economic power not only brings business opportunities but also promotes Chinese culture and language internationally. As its status grows, learning Chinese language is becoming more important – not only for cultural exchanges but also for international trade.

Local Chinese businessman Vincent Pao said this during an event where he handed over four calligraphy sets to Chung Hwa School Kiudang (CHSK) and Chung Lian School in Sungai Liang.

Pao said the donation aimed to inspire people, particularly the youth, to be interested in Chinese calligraphy.

It not only preserves Chinese language and culture but also promotes concentration and creativity, he said adding that it prepares students for future international Chinese calligraphy competitions.

CHSK principal Loo Shee Yun and Chung Lian School principal Chai Tze Yun received the donations on behalf of their schools.
