The number of new Muslim converts continues to rise following a conversion ceremony at Kampong Serasa, Muara yesterday.
The ceremony saw the conversion of 25-year-old Chinese Adrian Ryan Shim Yun Fat, now known as Muhammad Adrian Rayyan Shim bin Abdullah.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Syahadah followed by recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.
A Dikir Marhaban was held to celebrate the new convert.
Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.
Since January, 70 people have embraced Islam, of which 29 are from the Brunei-Muara District.
