The Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam hosted a luncheon for local media personnel at the Mulia Hotel yesterday to provide the latest update on ‘Original Aspiration of Bilateral Diplomatic Ties’, ‘Adhering to the One-China Principle’, ‘Promoting Steady and Further Development of Bilateral Relations’.
Ambassador of China to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo, in his remarks, said, “The embassy stands ready to work closely to tell more stories on bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation, to learn about achievements of China’s economy and social development, and to deepen understanding between peoples of both countries.”
He added, “China-Brunei relations have set an example of treating each other equally, harmonious coexistence, and mutually beneficial with win-win cooperation among countries of different sizes.”
The ambassador also highlighted that the development of the new energy industry does not rely on trade protectionist measures, but on global cooperation. – James Kon
