China’s international trade in goods, services up 12 per cent

BEIJING (XINHUA) – The value of China’s international trade in goods and services reached approximately CNY4.24 trillion in July, marking an increase of 12 per cent year-on-year, official data showed yesterday.

In US dollar terms, the country’s exports and imports of goods and services amounted to USD317.5 billion and USD276.4 billion, respectively, recording a surplus of USD41.1 billion, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said. The export value of goods reached nearly CNY2.04 trillion while the import value of goods totalled CNY1.6 trillion, resulting in a surplus of CNY431.6 billion.

The value of exported services amounted to CNY228.8 billion and the value of imported services stood at CNY367.1 billion, producing a deficit of CNY138.2 billion.
