SHIMUKAPPU (ANN/JAPAN NEWS) – Hoshino Resorts Tomamu has officially opened its Ice Hotel in Shimukappu, Hokkaido, welcoming guests from Monday until February 28.
Nestled within the resort’s enchanting Ice Village, the Ice Hotel is a masterpiece of winter artistry, featuring buildings crafted entirely from ice and snow.
The hotel itself is housed inside an impressive dome made of ice and snow, measuring 8.5 meters in diameter and standing 3.5 meters tall. Inside, guests are greeted with an otherworldly setting where chairs, tables, and other furnishings are meticulously sculpted from ice.
Despite temperatures inside the hotel hovering around minus 5°C at this time of year, visitors can enjoy the unique experience of spending a night immersed in a world of ice and snow.
