Well-respected Bruneian golfer Bryan Chiew Chun Hao emerged as leader in the first day of the 25th Baiduri Masters after carding a total of 72 in the men’s gross event at the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club yesterday.
The golfing meet officially opened yesterday following a tee-off in hole 10 led by Baiduri Finance Managing Director cum Baiduri Masters 2023 President Haji Haliluddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib; Baiduri Bank Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Business Development cum Baiduri Masters Vice-President Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha; and Pantai Mentiri Golf Club Chairman Colonel (Rtd) Zahrin bin Haji Zunaidi.
Two strokes behind the overnight leader was Pengiran Haji Ahmad Zaki Al Hakim bin Pengiran Haji Jambol. Close behind by another two strokes was Haji Shahminan bin Haji Damit.
Haji Afif Daraina bin Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin and Mohd Zulehram bin Yakub rounded off the top five. – Fadhil Yunus
