    Chefs in Brunei triumph at meat challenge in Singapore

    Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) chefs Rozihan bin Zainordin and Andy Chong made the country proud by winning the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) Ultimate Meat Challenge 2024 event.

    The event held in Singapore on April 24 gathered professional butchers and chefs across the globe to showcase their expertise with lamb and beef.

    As representatives for the Sultanate, the two chefs went up against top eight teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taipei and the United Arab Emirates.

    The event saw a six-hour culinary showdown, where the two chefs demonstrated their meat-cutting techniques and unleashed their creativity in crafting a four-course meal.

    The event, the first of its kind, also presented a cash prize of SGD4,000 to the winners. – Rokiah Mahmud
