Projek Bina Ukhwah organised an appreciation ceremony recently for sponsors and volunteers for the Ramadhan Tour Programme 2021 and 2022, the Charity Sale Programme 2022.
The project comprised a group of higher institution students and alumnus with an aim of encouraging local community to play an active role in aiding economically-challenged and underprivileged families in the Sultanate. The ceremony also sought to strengthen ties with sponsors and volunteers and to show support for the project in carrying out its mission.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat, led by Muhammad Khalid bin Haji Jalil, followed by a welcome speech by Ramadhan Tour Programme 2022 manager Muhammad Amirul Izzuddin bin Samhiri. He said that one of the objectives of the project was to raise awareness on poverty in the country and the importance of giving back to society. It also aimed to encourage youth to volunteer and understand project management, while promoting the project to potential customers to ‘buy with a purpose’. The Ramadhan Tour is an annual project organised by Projek Bina Ukhwah to provide assistance to underprivileged families during Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The project comprises Ramadhan Basket, Donation Collection and Raya Bersamamu: Donation Collection.
