The team of five received a heroes’ welcome when they completed the 130-kilometre charity run from Kuala Belait to Serasa Beach yesterday morning.
The runners – Raymond Pang, Eric Pui, Jan Shim, Jin Ng and Michelle Chong – began their run on January 5 at 10pm and completed the challenge at 8.45am yesterday.
Pang said he is glad the team finished the run despite inclement weather, from heavy rains to high heat. Adding to the challenge were blisters and cramps.
The fundraising event, organised by BR-Patrick Agency, raised BND40,000 for Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA). The event included a three-kilometre fun run at Serasa Beach yesterday.
AIA Singapore Private Limited Brunei Branch General Manager Kenneth Ling and BR-Patrick Agency Master District Director Patrick Pang presented the contribution to YASKA President Tsara’ Nawwarah binti Abdullah Chen. – James Kon
