Six families in the Belait District received aid in the form of cash and basic necessities from the 16th Jalinan Kasih project organised by Radio Television Brunei (RTB) yesterday to help with preparations for Ramadhan.
The project is an annual outreach programme to help families in need. RTB worked closely with its district branches and local grassroots leaders to ensure donations go towards those most in need, including orphans, senior citizens and individuals with different abilities ahead of the fasting month.
RTB Acting Deputy Director (Development) Muhammad Zulkarnain bin Haji Ibrahim, as well as representatives from Hamitan Group, TGT Sdn Bhd, BMC Food Industries Sdn Bhd, Bahagia Distributors Sdn Bhd, Pearl Café, Radisson Hotel, Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd, Sim Kim Huat Trading Co Sdn Bhd, YMRM, Madison & Al-Hayaah Brunei, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Darul Trustee Remittance & Services and Tanda Kasih Restaurant, delivered the donations to the residences of the recipients. – Daniel Lim
