Charity programme returns with shopping spree

Baiduri Bank’s annual ‘Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan’ initiative returned to bring festive cheers to underprivileged families.

The programme, in its seventh year, began with 10 Belait families brought to shop at Soon Lee in Kampong Pandan with help from Baiduri Bank volunteers. The day’s event concluded with iftar at V Plaza Hotel.

The families were identified by the Ministry of Education while logistics provided by Setia Motors Sdn Bhd.

Baiduri Bank Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Business Development) Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha said, “We recognise the importance of giving back and helping those who are less fortunate. We are proud to be able to support these underprivileged families in our community during this holy month.

Our commitment to social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate culture, and we are happy to be able to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.”

Setia Motors Human Resource Manager Ramli bin Ahad said, “It is important to recognise that a little help may make a big difference to others. This is a good reminder of how grateful we should be with our daily lives.”

Baiduri Bank Head of Retail Banking Lim Kian Chiong was present at the event. The next event will be held on April 5 at Hua Ho, Petani Mall in Tutong District.
