The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a Dikir ceremony at Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai, Tutong District on Tuesday, in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul.
The ceremony commenced with mass Maghrib prayer followed by Sunnat Hajat prayers.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad led the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.
Imam of Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque Abdul Hafiy bin Yahya led the Dikir Assalamualaika, followed by Dikir Khairuman and Dikir Badat by Firqah Al-Falaah group under the MCYS.
After mass Isyak prayer, the ceremony continued with Dikir Marhaban and Doa Dikir as well as Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The minister also handed over Waqaf to the mosque.
Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the MCYS Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the MCYS Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin as well as directors and officials from the MCYS also attended.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) also held a Dikir ceremony at Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampong Sengkarai, Tutong District. Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at the MoHA Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan attended the event.
Heads of departments, senior officials, officers and staff of MoHA, penghulus, village heads, mosque takmir committee members and Mukim and Village Consultative Council members were also present.
A similar event was held by a delegation from the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang on Tuesday.
Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi led the delegation.
Meanwhile, Tutong mosque Muslimah guidance class held an Ihya Maulidur Rasul at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Wakeel Mosque, Mukim Kiudang yesterday.
The gathering was held jointly with the Muslimah Affairs Division at the Tutong District Mosque Affairs Department and Mosque Affairs Office Tutong as well as guidance class and Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Wakeel Mosque.
Spouse of Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Asbi was the chief guest.
Women officers and staff from Tutong District Religious Affairs Office as well as guidance workforce for Muslimah congregants class and Muslimah mosque congregants were also present.
