The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), agent to the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-ljarah issuances yesterday announced the successful pricing of its 244th issuance of Sukuk Al-ljarah securities.
The total of the sukuk issuance was BND55 million and with this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued BND17.53 billion worth of Sukuk Al-ljarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006. The total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding as at February 6 stood at BND290.75 million.
