Arabic Preparatory School and Ma’had Islam Brunei emerged as the champions in an entrepreneurship and innovation competition at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAHS) on Monday.
Celik-Biz and BigStart, themed ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ with five sub-themes – innovation, edutainment, digitalisation, agroducation and smart experiment – task primary and secondary school students to develop innovative prototypes, portfolios and video presentations according to the themes.
In the 5th Celik-Biz Competition, Arabic Preparatory School reigned supreme with their product ‘Musyarakah Ilmiyah’ while Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School’s ‘GreenGrow 49 Hydroponic Kit’ in second place and Rimba II Primary School with ‘Conquer Brunei’ in third.
In the 10th BigStart Competition, Ma’had Islam Brunei secured first place with ‘PrayerVerse’, Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School’s ‘Hamza’ in second place and Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College‘s ‘Saving Tah’ in third.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman presented prizes to the winners. The event also featured an exhibition of the entries. – Adib Noor
