Celebrations for Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day

The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Brunei Darussalam hosted a celebration to mark Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day at the Royal Berkshire Hall, in Jerudong yesterday.

On hand to welcome guests during the night was Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam Emad bin Abdul Aziz bin Saad Al Muhanna. Present as the representative of the Government of Brunei Darussalam was Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as the guest of honour.

A cake-cutting ceremony by the guest of honour, Ambassador of Qatar to Brunei Darussalam Jassim Ali Abdullah Al Obaidli, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Kuwait in Brunei Darussalam Khaled MFNM Al-Farhan and Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Oman to Brunei Darussalam Sultan bin Mohamed Al Azri marked the highlight of the event.

A token of appreciation was presented to the guest of honour in the form of a golden crafted electroplated horse statue which represents courage, a common heritage shared between Brunei Darussalam and Saudi Arabia.

Guests were presented with video clips and slides on ‘The Line’, a civilisation revolution announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the NEOM Board of Directors which was first announced on July 25.

Saudi Arabian cultural songs were also performed by local artistes of Canang Seri Mahkota Group.
