Bright Jigsaw School
Fifty-four Kindergarten 1 to Year 6 students of Bright Jigsaw School were feted in an end-of-year ceremony at Serambi Suluh Hall of Tarindak D’Seni recently.
Students received merit awards for achieving excellent results in the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examinations.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the guest of honour, presented the awards to the students.
Bright Jigsaw School Principal Shazwani binti Haji Sahibulbahri said the school implemented a new system integrating religious education with the national curriculum education in accordance with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s recent titah.
The event also saw stage performances by students. Bright Jigsaw School Chairman Haji Mohd Sambas bin Haji Bagol, Managing Director Sitty Wardyna binti Haji Mohd Sambas and Board of Director member Haji Roslan bin Dato Paduka Haji Yaakob as well as representatives from the Private Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Islamic Studies Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB), JobCentre Brunei as well as parents and guardians also attended the ceremony. – Rokiah Mahmud
Pengiran Dipa Negara Pengiran Jaya Sengkarai Primary School
Pengiran Dipa Negara Pengiran Jaya Sengkarai Primary School, Tutong District held a prize presentation ceremony for academic excellence and a graduation ceremony for preschoolers as well as Year 6 students at its hall recently.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, the Village Head of Kampong Sengkarai, was the guest of honour.

Bakti Dewa School
Bakti Dewa School hosted its graduation and recognition day for Kindergarten 3 and Year 6 classes at Parkview Hotel.
Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) Retail Sales Manager Haji Shameon bin Tamil was the guest of honour. The ceremony recognised top achievers from Kindergarten 1 to Year 6, applauding their hard work and dedication. The Dewa Ahmad award was presented to Year 6 students who have been part of the Bakti Dewa School family since Kindergarten 1.
The TAIB award was presented to students who demonstrated exceptional progress in Special Needs Education.
The students also showcased their talents and creativity with performances.
Bakti Dewa School founder Pengiran Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad and Principal Pengiran Anak Hajah Haffezah Syukrina binti Pengiran Anak Haji Hassanuddin Al-Haj were also present. – Rokiah Mahmud
Chung Hwa School Kiudang
Chung Hwa School Kiudang in Tutong Distrcit held a ceremony to celebrate the students’ academic excellence and a graduation ceremony for Year 6 and Kindergarten 3 at its hall recently.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo was the guest of honour.
Principal Loo Shee Yun congratulated the students and shared that the school achieved a 100-per-cent passing rate with grades ‘A’ to ‘C’ in this year’s Primary School Assessment (PSR) examination.
Principal Loo also bid farewell to teachers – Leong and Tasha – expressing gratitude for their commitment. She also announced her departure from the school.
Ambassador Xiao thanked the principal and teaching staff for their commitment to spreading Chinese culture and language.
Board of Governors Chairman Kelvin Pong presented outstanding awards to the best students from Kindergartens 1-3 and Years 1-6, while Kindergarten 3 graduates received their certificates and gifts from Principal Loo. Ambassador Xiao handed certificates to the Year 6 graduates.
Ambassador Xiao presented the Honorary Credential Award to Tasha and Principal Loo, which acknowledged the achievement of 72 students from Chung Hwa School Kiudang, who secured 13 gold, 35 silver and 24 bronze medals in the China Children and Youth Calligraphy Competition. The ambassador also presented a gold plaque of achievement to the principal, commending the school’s continuous participation and achievements in the competition.
The ceremony also saw performances, including dance routines by kindergarteners, lower and upper primary students, along with a singing performance by the upper primary segment. – James Kon
